To add a repository on Linux

For example, to add a source repository file located in the /etc/apt/sources.list file system to open with gedit or other editors, the author uses the Leafpad application on Kali Linux

1. to add the repository type in the terminal:

leafpad /etc/apt/sources.list

2. After it is open add the repository url, for example here the author uses Kali Linux

deb http://http.kali.org/ / kali main contrib non-free
deb http://http.kali.org/ / wheezy play contrib non-free
deb http://http.kali.org/kali kali-dev main contribution non-free
deb http://http.kali.org/kali kali-dev main / debian-installer

3. The last step save and update:

apt-get-update && apt-get-upgrade
