Sir John Warcup Cornfort born on September 7, 1917 in Sydney, Australia. In his childhood, Sir John Cornforth begin to lose hearing. At the age of 20, he began to go completely deaf.

In 1975, for his research, Sir John Cornforth awarded the Nobel Prize in Chemistry.
