Grand Final Indonesia Game Championship 2022
IGC 2022 is now entering the playoffs with 64 esports teams remaining from the four games being contested. The entire team will compete for a place in the Grand Final of the Indonesia Game Championship 2022 which will be held on 27-30 August 2022.
IGC 2022 activities can be watched on the Dunia Games website igc.duniagames.co.id and the MAXstream application, which so far have attracted more than 10 million total views. IGC 2022 which is held online is part of Telkomsel’s efforts through Dunia Games to continue to advance the esports industry in the country in the midst of the pandemic while still complying with the protocol for preventing the transmission of the corona virus.
IGC 2022 READY TO COMPETE
Jakarta, 24 August 2022 – The grand final of the Indonesia Games Championship 2022 (IGC) has now reached the playoffs which will take place on August 24-26 2022. The national-scale competition held by Dunia Games in collaboration with Garena will test the abilities of the best 64 teams from all over the world. across the country to compete for places in the IGC 2022 Grand Finals which will be held on 27-30 August 2022. Throughout IGC 2022, there are interesting records that show the strong contribution of Dunia Games in advancing the esports industry in Indonesia in a comprehensive and sustainable manner. In terms of the number of participants, IGC 2022 was attended by more than 34,000 participants who were members of more than 8,200 teams competing for a total prize of more than 1.6 billion rupiah. IGC 2022’s openness to all genders also received a good response from female players with the participation of more than 1,200 female participants who were divided into more than 300 teams.
Total participants from 457 districts and cities
Overall, IGC 2022 participants came from 457 districts/cities in Indonesia. Java Island became the region that contributed the largest number of participants, which was more than 9,200 participants. However, high enthusiasm was also shown in other areas, such as Sumatra which sent more than 4,300 participants. Then, there was Sulawesi, which contributed more than 1,900 participants. Then, Kalimantan, Papua and Maluku, as well as Bali and Nusa Tenggara were each represented by more than 1,500 participants. This year’s IGC was also attended by participants from Malaysia, Singapore and the Philippines. The wider distribution of IGC 2022 participants underscores Telkomsel’s commitment to accelerate the development of the esports ecosystem and digital lifestyle experiences along with increasing the coverage and quality of Telkomsel’s broadband network throughout the country.
IGC 2022 itself competes against four game titles, namely Free Fire, Call of Duty Mobile, Arena of Valor, and League of Legends. Registration for the competition opens in May and June, followed by qualifying in July and August. Now, after a long journey, 64 teams are eligible to enter the playoffs held on 24-26 August 2022 to compete for a place in the Grand Final which is scheduled to be held on 27-30 August 2022.
