How to root Xiaomi Mi4i MIUI Global 7.2.3.0

A few weeks ago the Xiaomi Mi4i received another update, for Xiaomi users who have updated to the latest version 7.2.3.0 it will of course be lost if you have previously made root. For this we have to re-root.

If the SuperSU and Kingroot update files were previously used in version 7.1.1.0 and below, the method is now a different one, which is using the Mi Toolkit v4 software.

Important information:

Back up your important data first to anticipate if a boot loop will occur, but it is very unlikely.

Steps:

1. Download Mi Toolkit v4 and ADB driver.

Unzip the zip file with winrar or 7zip and then run the file start.bat

2. Enable USB debugging like:

  • Enter settings
  • via phone
  • Tap several times in the MIUI version (later you will see a new menu, namely Developer Options)
  • Enter settings
  • Additional settings
  • Check developer options USB debugging

3. Install the ADB USB driver on the PC / laptop computer.

4. Connect the smartphone to the computer. If you see a pop-up message, check “always allow from this computer” and Tap OK.

5. Return to the Mi 4i Toolkit software, select menu number 1. to root.

Wait for the process until you see the words waiting for device.

6. Then unplug or unplug your USB cable, but Do not close CMD start.bat.

7. First turn your Mi4i off or off.

8. Enter the Fastboot menu manually by pressing the key. to press Volume down + power until you see the android fastboot image then release the volume + power button.

9. Plug in the USB cable with your Mi4i or plug it in again.

10. Mi-Toolkit will continue the rooting process, wait for it to complete and your Android will restart by itself. Congratulations, your Android has been successfully rooted.
